Allusion: is a figure of speech that refers to something in order to make a comparison in a readers mind.
Plot- describes the events that make up a story
Theme: A main idea of a book
Syntax: The way words or phrases are used / arranged to make a sentence
indirect characterization: A writer showing a characters personality through a speech
direct characterization: How an author tells their reader about a character
Static character: The same person at the end of story how they were in the beginning
Dynamic character: Has an important inner change.
Symbolism: When an author uses an object or reference to add a deeper meaning to a story
Synecdoche: A word or phrase that will expeess less or more than the word or phrase actually means. Also like vice versa
